1. Who we are
Video Audio Creator is a website at videoaudiocreator.com that turns text into captioned short videos, voiceovers and other media. In this policy, "Video Audio Creator", "we", "us" and "our" mean [registered company name], a company registered in England and Wales (company number [company number]) whose registered office is at [registered address].
We are the controller of your personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email privacy@videoaudiocreator.com.
Video Audio Creator is not open yet. At the moment the only personal data we collect is the email address you give us when you join the waitlist. This policy also explains how we'll handle your data once the service opens, so you know before you sign up.
2. The short version
- We never sell your personal data.
- Your waitlist email is used only to tell you when Video Audio Creator opens.
- Your scripts, uploads and finished videos are yours. We use them to make what you ask for, not for advertising.
- We only make a copy of a voice (a "voice clone") from your own recordings, with your explicit consent, and you can delete it at any time.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time.
3. Data we collect
When you join the waitlist
- Your email address, the plan you're interested in (if you choose one) and the date you joined.
- A scrambled code made from your internet address, kept for one hour only, to stop the form being flooded with automated sign-ups. We can't turn it back into your internet address.
When you use Video Audio Creator (once it opens)
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only in a scrambled, one-way form called a hash).
- Your content: the scripts and text you type, the photos, audio and video you upload, and the shorts, voiceovers and other media we make for you.
- Voice recordings: if you choose to clone your own voice, the recordings you provide and the voice model made from them (see section 4).
- Payment details: if you subscribe or buy credits, payments are handled by our payment provider [payment provider, e.g. Stripe or Paddle]. We receive your plan, billing address and payment status, but never your full card number.
- Usage and technical data: what you create and when, how much of your monthly allowance you've used, your internet address, browser and device type, and error reports, used to run the service, keep it secure and fix problems.
- Messages to us: anything you send when you contact us.
4. Voice recordings and cloned voices
A voice clone is a digital copy of how someone sounds. Because a person's voice is personal to them, we treat voice recordings and voice clones with extra care:
- We only create a voice clone with your explicit consent, which you give when you set it up. You must confirm the voice is your own, or that you have the speaker's written permission.
- Your voice clone is private to your account. Other users can't use it.
- We don't use your voice recordings or voice clone to train AI models.
- You can delete your voice clone and recordings at any time from your account. We also delete them when you close your account.
- If we're told a voice has been cloned without the speaker's consent, we'll remove it (see our Terms of Service).
5. How AI services handle your content
To make your media, we send the content needed for each job (for example your script, the voice you've chosen, or the photos for a product video) to specialist AI services for voice, translation, music and video. They process it on our instructions and send the result back to us.
We don't use your scripts, uploads or finished media to train AI models. We choose AI providers whose business terms say they won't use our customers' content to train their models, and we list them in section 7.
Finished videos made with AI are labelled as AI-made, as described on our homepage, so your audience knows how they were made.

7. Who we share your data with
We only share personal data where we need to, and we never sell it. We share data with:
- Our website host, [hosting company], which stores the website and the waitlist.
- AI service providers for voices, translation, music and video, which process your content to make your media. [List providers once chosen, e.g. ElevenLabs for voices]
- Our payment provider, [payment provider], which handles payments under its own privacy policy.
- Our email provider, [email provider], which sends our emails.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to, or where it's necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
- A buyer or successor, if Video Audio Creator is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale. We'll tell you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Service providers act on our instructions under contracts that protect your data.
8. International transfers
Some of our service providers, including AI services, may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States or the European Union. When that happens we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the International Data Transfer Agreement approved by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9. How long we keep your data
- Waitlist email: until we've told you Video Audio Creator is open and for [12 months] after that, unless you create an account or ask us to remove it sooner.
- Waitlist anti-spam code: one hour.
- Account data: for as long as you have an account. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your data within [30] days, except where we must keep it for legal reasons.
- Your uploads and finished media: kept in your account for [90 days] after they're made, so you can download them again, unless you delete them sooner.
- Voice recordings and voice clones: until you delete them or close your account.
- Payment and tax records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually six years.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict or object to how we use your data
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (for example, to leave the waitlist or delete your voice clone)
To use any of these rights, email privacy@videoaudiocreator.com. We'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
11. Children
Video Audio Creator is for adults. You must be 18 or over to join the waitlist or create an account. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.
12. Security
We protect your data with encrypted (https) connections, passwords stored only as hashes, restricted access, and by keeping the waitlist in a private area of our server that can't be reached from the web. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password once accounts open.
13. Cookies and third-party files
The website doesn't use cookies at the moment. To display the site, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts and a styling file from Tailwind's content delivery network. Like any website, those services receive your internet address so they can send the files.
When accounts open we'll use only the cookies needed for the service to work, such as keeping you signed in. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we'll ask for your consent first.
14. Changes to this policy and how to contact us
We'll update this policy before Video Audio Creator opens and whenever we change how we use your data. If we make important changes we'll tell you by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
